Connecting Victim Survivors to Care, Support, and Resources
Why Advocacy Matters
Healing does not end when a healthcare visit, forensic examination, or Adult Forensic Interview is complete.
Victim survivors often face challenges beyond immediate medical needs, including concerns related to safety, housing, counseling, legal systems, financial assistance, and access to community resources.
TXFNE advocates provide trauma-informed support, education, and resource navigation to help victim survivors understand their options, connect with services, and continue moving forward in their healing journey.
Our goal is to ensure every victim survivor has access to the information, resources, and support they need while respecting each person's choices, circumstances, and goals.
How Advocates Help
TXFNE advocates provide trauma-informed support, education, resource navigation, and follow-up services designed to help victim survivors access available assistance and make informed decisions.

Crime Victims' Compensation
Every victim survivor's needs are different. Advocacy services are individualized and may include additional education, referrals, follow-up support, and connections to community resources.
Crime Victims’ Compensation
Victim survivors may be eligible for financial assistance through the Texas Crime Victims’ Compensation Program.
This program may help cover certain expenses related to a crime, including medical care, counseling services, lost wages, and other eligible costs.
Our advocates can help connect individuals with information about the program and available resources.
Our Approach
Survivor-Centered
We respect each person’s choices, goals, and decisions.
Trauma-Informed
We strive to create a safe, supportive environment grounded in empathy, dignity, and respect.
Voluntary
Participation in advocacy services is always voluntary.
Empowering
Our role is to provide information and support, not make decisions for victim survivors.
