Our Mission
Through a coordinated community response,The Texas Forensic Nurses Examiners (TXFNE) empowers victims of violence, promotes healing and creates innovative and comprehensive solutions to fill gaps in victim services.
Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners (TXFNE) is a nonprofit healthcare organization providing forensic nursing services, Adult Forensic Interviews, advocacy, education, and multidisciplinary support for individuals impacted by violence, abuse, exploitation, and trauma.
Through innovative service delivery models, regional partnerships, and a commitment to trauma-informed care, TXFNE helps ensure specialized forensic healthcare services are available when and where they are needed most.
Today, TXFNE operates the broadest regional forensic healthcare network in Texas, serving 44 counties across four regions through healthcare partnerships, community collaboration, and 24/7/365 access to specialized forensic services.
Why We Exist
Violence can have lasting physical, emotional, and psychological impacts. Yet many communities lack specialized forensic healthcare services and support for individuals impacted by violence.
TXFNE was founded to help close those gaps.
By expanding forensic healthcare services, strengthening community partnerships, and providing specialized expertise, TXFNE helps ensure individuals have access to forensic nursing services, Adult Forensic Interviews, advocacy, education, and community resources regardless of where they live.
We believe access to compassionate, trauma-informed care should not depend on geography, resources, or circumstance.
